The TMT test is used to determine how well the heart functions under pressure. A patient is asked to walk on a treadmill at a certain speed during this test. The heart's electrical activity is monitored during this. Throughout the procedure, the treadmill's incline and speed are gradually raised in order to raise the stress level and test the heart's function. The procedure is basically analogous to an ECG examination. While using the treadmill, the patent must be bare-chested. The electrodes are then applied to the patient's chest using an adhesive. Once the electrodes are in place, the patient begins to walk on the treadmill while the test technician controls the incline and pace.
